BFI Doc Society Local North West Bursary Application Form
Bursaries are prioritised for documentary filmmakers based in the North West region* and who have not attended a BFI Doc Society Local event before. Applications are encouraged from but not restricted to new and early career filmmakers and we prioritise applications that support BFI Diversity Standards:

*but we will consider applications from other regions and nations

- What costs can the bursary cover?

Bursaries can be used as a contribution towards travel costs, accommodation costs, a contribution towards the cost of child care or the care of adults that may restrict your ability to otherwise attend. If you have costs associated with a disability, these can also be considered.

- When should I apply?

For your application to be considered, please apply up to 1 full working week before the event date. We cannot fund retrospectively. The sooner you apply, the quicker your application will be considered.

- How much can I apply for?

Up to £150 for valid costs specific to event attendance.

- When will bursaries be paid?

Retrospectively (after the event has taken place) within 1 month of receiving valid receipts, and a completed BFI Doc Society reimbursement form.
