Join the HEART Music Board of Directors
We're looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to help guide
HEART Music
in our mission to provide accessible, high-quality music education in the greater Athens, GA area. You don’t need a background in music—just a commitment to making a difference. We’re especially seeking skills in
bookkeeping, fundraising, and communications,
but all backgrounds and perspectives are welcome. Most importantly, we’re looking for active, engaged board members who are ready to support our mission and help us grow.
About board service with HEART Music:
Board service term length is two years, typically starting over the summer
Monthly board meetings are remote and currently scheduled for Sunday evenings
(subject to change)
All members of the board serve on a volunteer basis, other than the Executive Director
Expectations of all board members:
Contribute your time, talent, and/or treasure to advance the mission of HEART
Contribute approximately 4-8 hours of volunteer board service each month (1-2 hours per week)
Attend monthly board meetings and committee meetings as needed
Respond to all communications in a timely manner (primarily email)
