Indivisible Evanston | Working Groups
Is there an issue about which you are particularly passionate and/or knowledgeable? If so, then please sign up to lead or join one of our new issue-based Working Groups. Help Indivisible Evanston become a better organization in our mission to resist the Trump agenda and focus on helping Democrats get elected in 2018.
What does leading or joining a Working Group mean?
* Researching and monitoring the latest news on your Working Group's issue.
* Meeting and/or communicating regularly and independently outside our general meetings.
* Reporting to I.E. leaders if an issue needs to be prioritized by the entire group with an action, etc.
* Supporting larger Indivisible (national, state or Chicago) actions related to your Group's issue.
* Updating entire I.E. group on social media and at general meetings.
Members of the Working Groups are responsible for becoming the authority in our group on their issue, recommending and helping to organize specific local actions, and contributing suggestions for our weekly and/or daily actions. Ideally, our goal is for Working Groups from different Indivisible Chicago and/or Illinois Neighborhood Groups focused on similar issues to communicate and coordinate with each other -- magnifying efforts beyond the specific geographic boundaries of the Neighborhood Groups.
Once a Working Group leader is identified, we will share the names/email of those who signed up with them, so the group can get started with planning their communication, meetings and activism.
