This educational retreat covers the business of farming and ranching including the five key areas of risk management: financial, human resources, legal, marketing and production risks.
This Annie's Project is a Retreat-style workshop. It will run from 11 am on Saturday, Sept 21 to 4 pm on Sunday, September 22. An optional add-on of Friday night is available. In partnership with the Friends of Frog Tree Farm, this retreat will be held at Frog Tree Farm, 26279 County Road 9, Verndale, Minnesota 56481, near Wadena and Staples, Minn.
A number of resource people will be on hand to teach and network with participants, a tour of Frog Tree Farm is included, and co-creation of planned meals are included. Overnight accomodations at the Farm are included for Saturday night, and optional for Friday night. Space is limited to 16 participants.

Optional Friday night starting at 7 p.m. for anyone who wants to gather with Peace & Michael, the owners of Frog Tree Farm, for social time, settling in, a campfire evening and optional morning canoe ride.
Registration Fee: $25.00 per person (normally $99, but fee is reduced due to U of M Regional Sustainable Development Project funds)
Your Annie's Project investment will cover the course materials. Watch for pre-work, a pre-survey and other resources and instructions to be emailed prior to the retreat.

UPDATE: Overnight accommodations at the cabins at the farm are full. Registration is available for the retreat for those who can have alternate overnight accommodations such as bringing a tent or a camper, are able to drive back and forth from home, or stay at a nearby hotel.
