SPIRITUAL VALUES IN LITERATURE (Champ Singleterry & Rene Scheys)
Is ambition a blessing or a curse? That’s one question Rene Scheys and Champ Singleterry are asking as they continue their series, by focusing on the play, Macbeth, Shakespeare’s shortest and most sublimely poetic major tragedy, which portrays Macbeth’s uncontrolled ambition to be the king of Scotland. The study will also draw parallels to four Biblical kings: Saul, David, Herod, and Jesus. A free copy of the play with footnotes and commentary will be provided.
