Loan Board Procedure (optional)
Many of our partners conduct a "Loan Board" event in which student teams present business plans and loan requests to a panel of adult volunteer Loan Officers. Usually the event is conducted in the classroom. Loan Board is unique to Northeast Ohio and is not included in the workbook materials. If you choose to add this component, we are happy to help identify volunteers. Thanks to a 2014 grant from KeyBank, we have established a loan fund from which your organization may borrow, interest free. In order to participate, please answer the questions below.
Do you plan to conduct a Loan Board event?
Would you like our help identifying volunteers to staff the Loan Board?
Would you like to utilize our loan fund?
Each student team may borrow up to $75, unless the team provides sufficient justification for a larger loan amount, as judged by the loan board.
