THE TORONTO B-GIRL MOVEMENT
Empowering women through the powerful medium of breaking

The Toronto B-Girl Movement develops the artistic skills and leadership confidence of a new generation of young b-girls. Through an intensive 12-week program of breaking workshops and knowledge sharing.

Participants have the opportunity to: expand their dance vocabulary, increase their capacity to represent as B-Girls, deepen their knowledge of women in Hip-Hop, and empower themselves through Hip-Hop culture.

PROGRAM DETAILS
• Summer Session will be for intermediate/advanced level and geared towards participants with prior B-Girl experience
• Twice a week program every Wednesday & Sunday from 6-9 pm beginning June 9 to August 25
• Intensive dance training followed by a discussion and open session
• Regular outings to attend and represent at local events.
• Facilitated by Soupy, and Caerina with support from Judi Lopez
• This program takes place at Toronto Centre for the Arts (5040 Yonge Street)

OBJECTIVES
• To increase female representation in Toronto's B-Boy/B-Girl dance community
• To unite young women leaders in the urban dance community
• To inspire and support artistic and personal growth

This program requires your participation and commitment one day per week, plus participation in occasional outings.
If you are not selected, that is ok, you still have the chance to practice at our free Sunday workshops that will be open to the public for drop-ins from 7:30-9:30pm.

TO Live General Health and Media Release
Consent to Medical Treatment
The Participant and/or Guardian agrees to hereby give permission to have the TO Live arrange for any emergency medical care including hospitalization and transportation, the administration of such emergency medical treatment as may be deemed necessary in the circumstances.

Waiver of Liability and Indemnity
The Participant and/or Guardian agrees to hereby hold harmless and indemnify TO Live for any all liability for any property damage or personal injury to the participant and/or Guardian or any third party resulting from participation in this program/workshop. The Participant and/or Guardian hereby further agrees that TO Live shall not be liable, either directly or indirectly, for any claims, or any damages, costs and expenses, including but not limited to personal injury, fatality, property damage or lost or stolen property, arising from or connected with participation in any activity contemplated by this Waiver Form, whether or not such injury, damage or loss occurred as result of any negligence, negligent misrepresentation, breach of statutory duty, and/or breach of contract on the part of TO Live.

Assumption of Risks
Participation in this program/workshop may involve various risks, dangers and hazards which all Participants and/or Guardians are required to assume. The Participant and/or Guardian hereby freely accepts and fully assumes all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, property or loss resulting therefrom.

Photo Release
The Participant and/or Guardian hereby authorizes TO Live to photograph, film and/or interview the Participant, and to publish said photographs, film and/or interviews in TO Live publications/printed material, including marketing and promotional materials, and the TO Live official websites. I release and forever discharge TO Live from all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands with respect to any such use except as agreed to in writing.
