The Queer Ontario 'Pressing Issues' Survey

WELCOME!

This is the Queer Ontario "Pressing Issues" Survey. It has been created so LGBTQ* people across Ontario can provide us with a list of the issues they feel are most important to them as LGBTQ persons living within the province.

The survey consists of five (5) questions and should take approximately 3-10 minutes to complete.

We intend to use this information to get a sense of the issues facing LGBTQ Ontarians today, with the aim of developing projects and initiatives that are relevant to a greater number of LGBTQ people province-wide.

We thank you in advance for your participation and assistance,

Queer Ontario is a provincial network of gender and sexually diverse individuals - and their allies - who are committed to questioning, challenging, and reforming the laws, institutional practices, and social norms that regulate queer people.

* A note on the use of ‘LGBTQ’:

For the purposes of this survey, "LGBTQ" will refer to individuals who are marginalized because of their sex, gender, and/or sexuality. This includes (but is not limited to) individuals who are: lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transsexual, transgender, genderqueer, agender, two-spirited, cross-dressing, intersexed, neutrois, asexual, pansexual, polyamorous, kinky, and/or nudist.

We know that forms of oppression based on sex, gender, and/or sexuality cannot be seen in isolation from other forms of oppression, so we encourage their joint articulation as well.

* A note on accessibility:

We encourage individuals to reach out to and assist LGBTQ people who do not have access to a computer, who may not know how use a computer, or who may have difficulties completing this survey. This will ensure that we receive a more reflective set of responses to help guide our work.

We encourage individuals to recommend (if not provide) software to make this survey available in other formats.
