Thank you for your interest in our creative residency program! We are thrilled to begin the 5th year at La Moissie and invite professional and emerging artists from all backgrounds to apply.
Our spring residencies are held during the months of APRIL, MAY and JUNE.
We will hold a second OPEN CALL for our fall residency season at the end of spring. Our fall residencies are held during the months of SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER and NOVEMBER.
⇨ Creatives from all backgrounds are welcome to stay at our Bed & Breakfast, Manoir de la Moissie. To reserve a room and enjoy access to our garden spaces for your creative projects, please contact us via email. *Please note that room costs, communication, and accessibility may differ from those available to OPEN CALL applicants.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2025.Manoir de la Moissie where the creative residency is located, is a 16th century hunting lodge built on the mound of an old feudal castle. We are located in the beautiful village of Belvès, in the Périgord Noir, Dordogne.

The program aims to generate creative exchange between practitioners as well as strengthen ties with the local community.

Selection committee:Candidates will be chosen by our selection committee composed of the Residency Director, Creative Director and Artistic Advisor as well as the board of directors of our non-profit association, "LM Créative".
Particular emphasis will be placed on the following criteria:
- Artistic quality and merit
- Proposed residency project (concept and technical feasibility)
COSTS Spring 2025: There is a daily fee of 56€ a day. This fee covers the cost of running the house and providing half board (details below) and basics for the community cupboard while you are here.
In addition, we ask for a donation from each artist. Donated artworks provide a visual memory of past residents and their contribution to the resulting art collection can help raise funds for the continuation of our residency program which can in turn, support future artists like yourselves. Creatives from other disciplines can find various ways to contribute to our community through a discussion with the residency staff.

*We accept artists for a minimum of 2 weeks and strongly recommend a residency period of 3 weeks to 1 month. Artists staying for 3 weeks or more will receive a 10% discount on their accommodation.
INCLUDED:- A private bedroom with ensuite bathroom at “Manoir de la Moissie”
- Half board 4 days a week : breakfast and family style dinner
- Access to cupboard and kitchen.
- A table and chair to work in your room.
- Use of common spaces: 2 shared studios (1 indoor, 1 indoor/outdoor), kitchen, living and dining room, gardens...
- Pick up/drop off from the local train station or Bergerac airport.
*Artists interested in offering workshops, classes, meals or other community
outreach in exchange for part of their accomodation, should contact us for details.
