Expanded Core on the Road: 2026 Advocate at the Capitol

Join KSSB and the Kansas NFB as we learn about our state government and ways that we can promote accessibility with our legislators. The 2025-2026 event will include a series of classes to broaden student's learning opportunities in the areas of Self-Determination and Career Exploration.

Session 1: "What happens at the State House?" - 45 minute interactive class via Zoom

Thursday, December 4, 2025 - 12:00 p.m. (recording available for those unable to attend live)

Session 2: "How do I advocate at the Capitol?" - 45 minute interactive class via Zoom

Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 3:45 p.m. (recording available for those unable to attend live)

** Students attending on January 15 are highly encouraged, but NOT required to attend Sessions 1 and 2 in December.**

**LUNCH IS PROVIDED**

Students attending in person will be expected to navigate the four story building throughout the day and adapt quickly to changing schedules. ALL attendees are asked to dress professionally.
