Suggest an idling sign location
You can use this form to suggest a location for the City of Boston to install an anti-idling sign.

The Massachusetts Anti-Idling Law limits unnecessary engine idling to five minutes.

There are 3 exceptions: (1) when a vehicle is making deliveries and associated power is necessary (e.g., to run refrigeration units or operate a lift); (2) when an engine is being repaired and operating the engine is necessary for the repair; and (3) when the engine is used to provide power to another device.
