Starship Poseidon STEM Camp Application 14-20 July, 2019

Welcome to Starship Poseidon's application page for the summer of 2019 STEM Camp to be held on Naval Station in Newport, Rhode Island. To be eligible, students must be entering 9-12th grade in the Fall of 2019 and be younger than 18 years old at the end of the camp. The 2019 Starship Poseidon Summer STEM Program is a week-long, in-residence camp. It will take place from the afternoon of Sunday, 14 July to the late morning of Saturday, 20 July, 2019. There are spots available for up to 80 students to attend. Students will be selected based on our ability to build a group of students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. No prior experience in STEM project work or activities is necessary.

With the earlier start of the application process, we expect to have more students applying for this year's camp. We will be continue accepting applications until late March. In the event we receive more applicants than spots available (which historically has been the case), students will be offered an opportunity to join an alternate list to fill spots that are vacated by students who either fail to complete registration requirements or who withdraw due to other circumstances. Students selected from the alternate list will be will be notified as these spots open up.

Once students have been selected, an information packet with additional required documentation will be provided. Families will also be notified at that time with directions for submitting the deposit payment.
