ATX GIS Day / TxGIS Day Speed Mentoring will be a 1-hr time commitment on
Tuesday, November 14th Virtually at Noon.
The hour-long event will kick-off with a brief presentation about mentoring and will open the opportunity to meet with a predetermined mentor for at least 10 minutes. Each mentee could meet up to 3 mentors, if matched. Then, participants are returned back to the main virtual room to answer questions and discuss takeaways.
This event is free and open to the public for K -12 to adults. People interested in learning about career development are especially encouraged to attend.
This event will allow facilitators and mentors to empower participants to share success stories, offer solutions to each other's challenges and reflect on continuing professional growth.
Now, more than ever, it’s important to stay connected to the industry and we’re offering you a chance to tackle some of the key challenges that you might face in your career right now such as:- How to manage your internal and external relationships remotely
- How to stay disciplined and demonstrate your value to your team
- Mental health - making sure you’re ok
