GreenThinker D.C. Resource Guide
Our mission is to get more people to reduce their plastic use. We DO NOT promote plastic recycling as only 10% of plastic ever gets re-used anyway. REDUCE plastic is our motto. This resource guide is for those living in the Metro Washington D.C. area who want to reduce their use of plastic and other single-use items, as well as reduce their overall carbon footprint.
You can add a new entry to the guide by filling out the following questions below. Examples include: zero-waste products and businesses, non-curbside recycling options (e.g batteries, light bulbs), renewable energy alternatives, environmentally-friendly home services (e.g. painters, plumbers, cleaners), city services (hazardous waste disposal, free compost), and so on.
Please check the existing spreadsheet first to make sure your entry is not already on the list (see link below).
Disclaimer: Entries do not mean endorsement of any particular business, product, or service.
