April 2021 Events at Merrill Memorial Library
Merrill Library is hosting several events at the library this April (2021). Use this form to sign up for any and all of the events. Intended audience is listed next to the event. Trivia Night has a separate form for registration.

All events are virtual. A Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event and a reminder email will be sent 1 hour before each event.

At each author event, a few lucky participants will win a copy of one of the author's books. Winners will be chosen randomly and notified by Mrs. O'C or Miss Mary.

Wednesday, April 14, 12:30PM: Terry Lynn Johnson, author of Dog Driven (2019) (one of the titles nominated on this year's Maine Student Book Award list) and the forthcoming Rescue at Lake Wild (2021). Terry will talk about her experiences with sled dogs and answer any questions about writing.

Tuesday, April 20, 7PM: Join Mrs. O'C and author Ryan La Sala for a fun author night. Ryan is the author of two books for young adults, Reverie (2019) and Be Dazzled (2021). Ryan will be discussing Be Dazzled and taking questions from participants.

Wednesday, April 21, 12:30PM: Join Miss Mary and author Denyse Waissbluth as they talk about the book Teatime Around the World. Get your tea set ready!

Friday, April 23, 11AM: Join Mrs. O'C on Zoom as we make gluten-free chocolate chocolate chip cookies. Must be able and willing to use an oven.

Tuesday, April 27, 9:30AM: Dan Gemeinhart, author of Scar Island and The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise (one of the titles nominated on this year's Maine Student Book Award list) will give a presentation about his writing process and then answer questions from participants.
