Background
CWW recognises that throughout the operations of the competition there is a need to bolster the participant by members in supporting roles such as umpiring and curating. This program has been design to identify those interested in these roles and pair them with a mentor in our community to lean on the job style training.
Aim
We intend to match participants with a current umpire or curator which best suits their current commitments (i.e. at the same ground they currently attend for training to also assist with curating) to give them the best opportunity to grow and learn the role.
Remuneration
Participants will also be entitled to payment based on the level of commitment towards their roles, whether it be umpiring a junior competition match (shadowed by a parent/umpire) or working with a curator during the week on afternoons they are available. We want to give you every opportunity possible to see if this is something for you.
Umpires
For people looking to participate in umpiring, matches are completed in the CWW Competition on Friday afternoons and Saturday both morning and afternoon. To be able to participate in this role, you will need to be available during some of these times.
Curators
For people looking to participate in curating, pitches are normally prepared throughout the week during afternoons. To be able to participate in this role, you will need to be available during some of these times.
