TOCKWITH ENERGY GENERATION SCHEME COMMUNITY SURVEY
Tockwith Parish Council and local community groups want to investigate the feasibility of creating our own local energy generation scheme. This would be a not-for-profit, Co-operative Scheme. It would aim to secure local energy supplies whilst returning benefits to consumers and community through cheaper locally-generated renewable solar energy. Crucially we need to show that our community wants this to happen if we are to secure free feasibility funding. Your views are important to us. 4) If a company was formed to create a community owned energy generation hub for the village,  would you be interested in investing with a forecasted rate of interest of 5%? Investors would also have first call on lower cost electricity produced by the hub.
