Keeping Nutrients out of Great Bay: Technologies for Nitrogen Reduction with Septic Systems and Passive Barriers
Topics for this workshop include: Nitrogen cycle review and why it matters to seacoast communities, state and local regulations on nitrate in septic systems and groundwater, current denitrifying on-site septic systems, Permeable Reactive Barriers (PRBs), local watershed initiatives, and more! NHDES Subsurface credits pending.

This workshop was funded through the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Watershed Assistance Grant in partnership with the Rockingham and Strafford County Conservation Districts, Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Truslow Resource Consulting LLC, Granite State Designers and Installers, the New Hampshire Rivers Council, and the Lamprey Rivers Advisory Committee.
