In addition to genetic genealogists, DDP recruits volunteers in a variety of roles to support all areas of our operations. Please see the descriptions below to determine how you want to be involved:
  • Investigative genetic genealogists work in teams to resolve cases of unidentified human remains. These specialists use traditional genealogy techniques along with analysis of genetic relative matches and OSINT research.

  • Marketing and social media team members create content, perform market analysis, monitor social media channels. and generate strategy to build DDP's brand image and presence.

  • Administrative specialists can provide general support with admin tasks like data entry, record-keeping, digital filing, email and contact support, calendaring, and more. This category also includes generalist researchers, writers, legal experts, contracts, and website management.

  • Education specialists support opportunities for internal and external stakeholders to learn techniques and skills needed to perform investigative genetic genealogists.

  • Development and Fundraising specialists support the Director of Development with administrative tasks, writing, publication design, and research related to donor relations and fundraising activities.
