Terms and Conditions *
Terms and Conditions 2019. 1 Notice is required if you are unable to attend any of Market days you have booked, by email to bookings@scottishstallhire.co.uk No refunds will be given for days you fail to attend, unless booking is cancelled 5 days in advance, or cancellation is made before the market starts, if due to illness. 2 Traders will be invited to trade with us at each market. The occupation of any pitch for one or more markets in succession does not constitute a right for future use of that pitch. We reserve the right to refuse a trader a pitch at the market. 3 The allocation of pitches is solely at the discretion of the market management. 4 Pitches cannot be shared or sub-let without the agreement of the market manager. 5 The market is outdoors, therefore pitch holders should be prepared to trade, no matter what the weather. 6 Trading times are 10am to 4pm. No trader vehicles will be permitted to enter site after 9.30am, all trader vehicles must be clear of site by 9.45am. Pitch holders should be ready to trade 15 minutes before the start time, and have the area in front of their pitch clear. 7 All stock must be kept within the pitch provided. 8 Pitches must not be moved from their positions. 9 Please do not place A-frames or blackboards in public areas without permission. 10 A copy of your Public Liability Insurance, all relevant (to what you have said you sell) food handling, EHO and/or kitchen certificates, address of place of production for food produce, and PAT and Gas certification must be sent to to the market management before the start of trading. 11 The pitch holder, on the day of the market, is responsible for complying with all local and national laws and regulations regarding the production, labelling, allergens, display, storage, handling, cooking and sale of goods, food and alcohol. Sellers of alcoholic beverages must hold their own occasional licence for each market they attend. 12 All pitches must comply with current Trading Standards and Health and Safety requirements. 13 Pitch holders must give honest descriptions of their produce. Bought in produce cannot be sold as handmade. 14 All pitches must display their trading name and contact details. This can be in the form of a banner, poster or business cards. It’s also a good idea to have a copy of any food handling and kitchen certificates on display. 15 Pitch holders will be provided with a covered 8’x8' farmers market pitch with a built-in 8’x4’ table top, but must provide their own suitable table cover. 16 Pitch holders are not provided with a chair, please bring your own if required. 17 Electricity is provided for stalls when booked In advance. All electrical items must have current PAT labels. 18 Pitch holders can bring their own battery operated lights if extra lighting is required. 19 Please take responsibility for making your pitch look attractive, you will have a far better response from public and attract more customers. 20 We ask pitch holders not to pack up early, as it affects the look of the entire market. Please stick to market set up and finish times. 21 Pitch holders are responsible for their own stock/pitch if they leave it unattended at any time. 22 Pitch holders must take all their rubbish away at the end of each trading day, keep their pitch area tidy and make sure the area is left absolutely clean at the end of each day. Hot food sellers must bring their own bins and black bags, and take filled black bags away for disposal at the end of the day 23 Fire exits must be kept clear at all times. 24 There is a strict No Smoking policy at all pitches and space adjacent to pitches for all pitch holders and staff. This includes electric cigarettes. 25 Traders must agree to pay pitch fees 7 days in advance of the market via BACS, or before the start of the market. if invoice is issued within 7 days of market. 26 If the management feel the weather/wind will make the market unable to go ahead, you will be notified by telephone or email by 11.30pm, the night before the event. The management will do everything in their power to make sure the market goes ahead as planned in another area. 27 Pitch holders are expected to promote and support the market using their own websites and social media pages. 28 Pitch holders will treat each other with respect. Foul or offensive language or bullying will not be tolerated. Offenders may be asked to leave the market. 29 Grievances should be directed to the Market Manager who, in turn, will be responsible for resolving the dispute. 30 We reserve the right to take photos of pitches and products and use them to advertise the market on social media but will chose which pitches and products we use 31 All traders who attend the market must agree to these terms and conditions.
