"The public participation of the monthly public Board meeting is designed to allow an individual or organization the opportunity to address concerns to the Board for its consideration. If an action is required by the Board, an agenda item must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent five days in advance of the meeting.
All items submitted will be reviewed by the Board, during the public participation section, and assigned to the appropriate administrative Board level.
Due to employee privacy rights, public commentary directed at specific employees is prohibited. Such comments may be heard in executive session and the specific employee(s) may be present.
It is important to remember that Board meetings are open to the public but one should not necessarily infer that they are public meetings in the sense that any and all parties must be provided a forum to address special interests."
