Course Description:
This course will prepare students for the new digital SAT reading/writing test, while systematically enhancing students' critical reading and writing skills. Specifically, the course will aim for teaching the four tested areas:
Craft and Structure
Expression of Ideas
Information and Ideas
Standard English Conventions
Instructor Bio:
Seasoned data scientist to enthusiastic educator, Ms. Zhang has been supporting local students for years. From coaching and teaching middle school and high school students to helping a new K-8 public school establish various student enrichment clubs, she has accumulated a wealth of experience and developed her own solid and effective education philosophy. To prepare students for the fast-changing future, she advocates for building students' 3R skills: Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic. She appreciates the individual talents of her students, inspires the students to discover their own strengths and passions, and empowers them to be their best self and realize their full potential.
