Dear CUNY family and peers,
First, I would like to say that I hope you & your loved ones are safe, healthy, and sane during these horrific times we are living in. As we have all seen, Hunter (and CUNY) have failed us in more ways than one. They don't see us, they don't feel us, and more importantly, they don't hear us, even when we cry out "I can't breathe." Their inadequate statement/response to these issues is truly unfortunate and indicative of the kind of institution they are when it comes to Black Lives.
While President Raab has released a statement regarding these issues, it is necessary to include concrete actions with these words of solidarity.
Therefore, I, Diana Kennedy, and a Baruch student, Teona Pagan, have penned an open letter to the school, informing them of our dissatisfaction as well as including a list of demands that we feel would make this place more inclusive of the Black student population.

Please share and spread the word. Change starts with us, so let's make it happen.
