To commemorate International Women's day, the Short Film Lab is partnering with the Doha Design District to kick off the Weekend Film Challenge in The Arsenale showroom based in Msheireb Downtown Doha.

7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
This is our signature Spring program that offers all ages a chance to participate in a 48 hour 'shoot out' in which aspiring filmmakers are invited to join creative forces in order to make a short film in teams.
Theme: Projects should respond to the UN's theme for this International Women's Day, Invest in Women.

The Kick Off event will be held in The Arsenale Showroom, part of the Doha Design District, based in Msheireb Downtown Doha.
Important dates:
Wednesday, March 6th: 12:00 p.m. Deadline to register a team
Thursday, March 7th: 7:00 p.m. Kick Off*
The Arsenale, Msheireb (next to Al Wadi hotel)
Saturday, March 9th: 4:00 p.m. Screening**
Raffles Doha, Lusail
Criteria for eligibility:
- Teams must have a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 6
- Can be made up of any age or gender
- Must have at least **ONE FEMALE aged 12+**
- Films can be :30 to a maximum length of 6 minutes
*All team must have at least one member at both Kick Off and Screening in order to participate.*
The weekend will be led and facilitated by the founders of the SFL, Dr. Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar***, novelist/screenwriter, and Professor Christina Paschyn****, journalist and documentary filmmaker.
