The Office of Assemblymember Diane Dixon and the Laguna Hills Chamber of Commerce are excited to host our Spook-Tacular event on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event will feature games, activities, trunk-or-treat, and other fun surprises. We are looking for student and community volunteers to help make the event a success by assisting with event setup, staffing booths, supporting games and activities, helping stage and performance organizations, managing traffic flow, and assisting with cleanup.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026

• Event Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• Volunteer Hours: Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., with flexibility based on individual availability

• Location: Provided to selected volunteers

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers may be assigned to a variety of tasks based on event needs and their availability, including:

• Helping set up and take down event booths, tables, and supplies.

• Staffing booths and assisting with activities, including games and candy refills.

• Supporting stage performances and helping coordinate participating organizations.

• Assisting with traffic control and directing attendees as needed.

• Helping with general event operations and cleanup.

Volunteer Schedule and Community Service Hours

The expected volunteer window is approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to accommodate setup, event operations, and cleanup. We understand that volunteers may have different scheduling needs and will do our best to accommodate individual availability when making assignments.

Participating volunteers will receive signed documentation for six (6) hours of community service in recognition of their contributions to event preparation, operations, and breakdown.

Dress Code

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for an outdoor, family-friendly event. Since the event will welcome families and young children, volunteers should wear clothing that is comfortable for standing and moving throughout the day while remaining modest and appropriately covered. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.
