Roundtable Registration
Employer Perspectives: Barriers & Enablers to Accessible Workforce Entry

In partnership with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), the Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is hosting a series of roundtable events with HR and Talent leaders from across Canada.

Our goal is to better understand what employers need to effectively recruit, hire, and support employees with disabilities and to help develop the Employment Standards, tools, and resources that will get them there.

This virtual forum is also an opportunity for employers and practitioners to network and exchange best practices to address shared challenges.

Roundtables are 60 minutes in length, and all participants will be offered a $100 honorarium (optional) as a token of appreciation.

Please note, the purpose of this form is to indicate your interest in participating in a roundtable event. We will follow up with interested participants to schedule event sessions.

If you have any questions, or would like to get in touch with us directly, please email the Project Lead:

Accessibility Considerations
To make sure the virtual roundtables are accessible to all participants, BHER is committed to adapting and assisting in any accessibility requirements you may have. Live captions will be available during the events, and the virtual platform used is generally compatible with digital assistive technology. Despite our best efforts, there may be limitations to our digital technology and infrastructure. Please let us know of any accessibility and/or assistive technology needs you may have for participating in the virtual roundtables (i.e., on an online video-conferencing platform) and any supports or accommodations BHER may be able to provide to address these needs.
Confidentiality & Use of Data
To make sure BHER is able to capture all the details of the events and at the same time carry on an attentive conversation with you, we will be recording the roundtables. Any recordings will be confidential; only members of the project team will have access to the recordings. And of course you do not have to answer any questions that you are uncomfortable with or that you for whatever reason are unable to answer. For any public deliverables produced by BHER, you may be quoted, but your name/any identifying information will not be published.
