Heywood Avenue School Engineering Week Presentations
Celebrate engineering week with 5th - 7th grade students at Heywood Avenue School! Presentation slots are available throughout the week, and may consist of a 20-25 minute presentation, followed by 10-15 minutes of Q&A, to get middle school students excited about opportunities in STEM.

The focus of the presentations for the week is:
1. Expose the students to various areas of concentration in the engineering profession.
2. Why is engineering an important and exciting career to pursue?
3. What recommendations do you have for our students that are interested in pursuing a career in engineering, robotics, and/or artificial intelligence?
4. What character traits should our students develop in order to be successful engineers?
5. Other pertinent information that students may need to prepare themselves in middle and high school to pursue a degree in an engineering concentration.
