A bit about us.
Project Linus is a club at Hammond dedicated to creating comfort items for the less fortunate. Our main focus is on creating no-sew fleece blankets, but members skilled in crocheting and/or knitting create those types of ones. With all the scraps and off-cuts, We make dog toys and stuffing for dog beds. Donations go to hospitals, homeless shelters, animal shelters, and more! Besides the obvious benefits to our community, Project Linus is a social club. During In-person classes, We would get together on a bi-weekly basis, talk, eat girl scout cookies, and create. Starting the club up again virtually, nothing really has to change. We can still talk online, snack on our own, and create blankets! They are so easy to make, trust me! If the process of making a blanket was difficult,we wouldn't be having the club virtually. But as a club, we are confident in the fact that we can teach students without hands-on direction. This is a service opportunity you don't want to miss out on! it's fun and so worth it!
Can't wait to see you at our next meeting!
