Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College Admission Appeal Request
You must lodge your intention to Appeal in writing to the Admissions Officer using the form below. You will then be given the opportunity to present your case at your individual hearing.

Parents will be contacted in writing when a date and time has been arranged for their Appeal with at least 10 school days’ notice of their Appeal Hearing.

Appeals will be held in front of an independent panel at Blessed Thomas Holford.

Appeals Procedure
The school conducts Admission Appeals panels according to the School Admission Code of Practice

All members of the Appeals Panel are trained in the correct procedures to be applied to each case

The appeals panel makes its decision having considered all the evidence provided by the school and by the parents or other adults

The Headteacher will attend on behalf of the Governing body and provide accurate information to the appeals panel about how the admissions policy has been applied and the reasons for not offering a place to a pupil

Parents and any supporting adults will provide all available evidence to the appeals panel pertaining to their reasons for requesting admissions and answer any questions

The appeals panel expect parents and any supporting adults to give evidence and answer questions in a way that is accurate and truthful

If a parent or supporting adult knowingly misleads the appeals panel in their evidence then any place offered may be withdrawn at a later date
