Junior Steelheaders Program 2017
The Association of Northwest Steelheaders (ANWS) is here to assist classrooms in the Portland-Metro region with their participation in the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (ODFW) Fish Eggs to Fry Program. In addition to aiding ODFW in the delivery of salmon and trout eggs each year, ANWS staff or volunteers are available to provide support through our Junior Steelheaders Program. This program has been developed in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) through Eco-Schools USA.

Your school can earn an Eco-Schools USA award by participating in the Fish Eggs to Fry Audit & Action Plan! The Audit and Action Plan provides a framework for Fish Eggs to Fry, engages the school community, and recognizes students for their commitment to local salmon and wildlife. The introductory pages of the Audit were delivered to you to give you an idea of what the project entails. The complete document includes curriculum connections and an appendix of resources, and is available to teachers at no cost.

Please take the following brief survey to give us an idea of what kind of support you might need from the Steelheaders. Thanks!
