*Receive first priority in Elisa's schedule for:*- Letters of Recommendation- Attendance of personal, life & celebratory events- Meetings with parents & teachers
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS- Must be a girl ages 11-18 enrolled in grades 5th - 11th- All previous members must reapply annually --- Previous year's participation & conduct is a factor in re-selection- Not accepting incoming seniors, 12th grade, as first year members- The Board of Directors, Leadership Committee, and Elisa selects members. --- Girls Like Me, Inc. has the right to select and deny any applicant at our careful discretion. Our main goal is to select Girls who will most benefit from membership of Girls Like Me, Inc.- Copy of latest report card - Student Essay --- One page typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font, 1" margins all around or 2 pages handwritten neatly and legible, without many large spaces or gaps. --- Answer this Question: "What do you dream of being when you grow up and why? How will being a member of Girls Like Me, Inc. help you follow your dream?"- Parent Statement --- A few sentences typed or handwritten --- Answer this Question: "Why do you want your daughter to be a member of Girls Like Me, Inc. and mentored by Elisa?"

MANDATORY ATTENDANCE DATESIf you miss the event dates listed below, you can not attend the outing day that follows. MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO & ENCOURAGED TO COME TO ALL EVENTS. The events are designed to all connect for a full enrichment plan. However, we understand that things happen and have put this accountability plan in place. Please see calendar for full list of events (http://www.girlslikemeinc.com/p/glm-events.html)- Event: Saturday, November 18 -----> Outing: Monday, January 15- Events: Saturday, January 27 & February 24 (1 of 2) -----> Outing: Saturday, March 10- Event: Saturdays, March 24 -----> Outing: Saturday, June 9- Events: Previous events listed (3 out of 4) & Saturdays, April 28 & May 19 (2 of 2/Active Participant of #ShopGLMChallenge2018) -----> Outing: Saturday, July 23**** There may be few more unscheduled outings. In this case, all current members will be invited and eligible to attend any unscheduled outings despite attendance record. Hopefully, Parents will be given 1-week, at the least.
ALTERNATIVEIf a young lady and parent does not want to be a member, is not selected for membership, does not want to go through the application process, or is unable to attend most events, including the mandatory events, she can still be a participant and attend Girls Like Me, Inc.'s free monthly community events open to the entire family at your personal discretion.
