Mission

The Coalition will mobilize organizations across Houston to advance the use of research-based educational policies and practices that are informed by the community.

Vision

The Coalition serves as the collective that brings awareness to issues impacting education in Houston and advances an education-focused agenda with the intended purpose of ensuring all students reach their full potential.

Goals

Through its work, the Coalition aims to:

  • Build the capacity of education-focused organizations from diverse communities to lead change as aligned with the Coalition’s priority issues
  • Create conditions such that Houston-area students have clear educational pathways and opportunities for future success
  • Support local school systems as they engage with stakeholders to inform and implement education policies that serve community needs and improve student experiences
