Ballroom Workshop 2.0. application form

The Queer Voices International Film Festival (QVIFF), 5th edition, invites the local dance community, artists, and enthusiasts to participate in the boldest events of the all - the Ballroom Workshop 2.0., a fabulous four-day workshop that will take place between 30 November - 3 December, with experienced tutors from the Kiki House of Marciano, Kiki House of Solar, and Kiki House of Angels.

The Ballroom Workshop 2.0 is open to queer and non-queer participants that will learn the history of Ballroom, how to vogue (yaaaasss, queen!!!), how to walk different categories with fierceness, sassiness, and confidence (Work it baby!!!)

Some of the requirements for the participants are:
— The participants belong to the LGBTQIA+ community, or its supporters that may or may not activate in an NGO or organization that fights for the LGBTQIA+ rights;
— Priority will be given to applicants who are citizens of the Republic of Moldova;
— Participants can speak and will speak in English (all levels, don't be shy it's safe space!);
— Participants MUST commit to all workshop days that run from aprox 9-10 a.m. to 3-4 p.m. 30.11.22.- 03.11.22 (on 3.11 the performance will take place until late evening)

Please answer questions truthfully, we want to have a feeling of who you are before we meet you. 
Discrimination against person of colour, nationality, and LGBTQIA+ community will be not tolerated.

Deadline - 31 October 2022, 23:59. The participants will be informed by 15 November about their selection.
The participation is free of charge.
Location - Chisinau, Moldova.
The workshop will take place in an offline format only with tutors experienced in the Ballroom culture. The organisers will cover lunches and dinners, and most of the coffee breaks for the duration of the workshop. Limited accommodation places will be offered. The participants cover their own travel expenses.

*All the answers to the application questions will remain confidential. Personal data will be processed by the Queer Voices team exclusively for the filmmaking workshop communication. The data will not be transmitted to the third parties unless the participant agrees to it.
