Die Kiki Lounge Berlin lädt zum 1. Netzwerktreffen “Social Work &; Care for Trans*Queer,
youth, in and outside Berlin’s Ballroom Scene”. Ausgangspunkt der Veranstaltung ist die
Kurzdokumentation “Home”, die das Jugendprojekt Kiki-Lounge Berlin vorstellt. Die Kiki-
Lounge Berlin ist ein Raum für Trans* ; Queere* Jugendliche (14-27 Jahre) und legt ihren
Fokus seit März 2022 auf die Vermittlung der Ballroom-Kultur. Die anschließende
Zukunftswerkstatt lädt zum gemeinsamen Austausch über aktuelle Projekte und deren
Herausforderungen. Neben der Diskussion aktueller Bedarfe für BIPoC Trans*; Queeren*
Jugendlichen steht die Reflexion über Erfolge und Herausforderungen im Fokus, wie auch
Visionen für die Zukunft.
Mit dabei sind Twiggy Pucci Garçon (Chief Strategy Officer von “true Colors”, USA). Als
Expert*in für Ballroom Culture und Social Work wird sie ihre Einblicke und Perspektiven mit
der Berliner Community teilen.
Eingeladen sind Jugendliche, Eltern, Sozialarbeiter*innen, Lehrende, Interessierte aus dem
Bereich der Politischen und Kulturellen Bildung, sowie Vertreter*innen von Organisationen
und Initiativen.
Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf maximal 70 Personen begrenzt.

Kiki Lounge Berlin warmly invites you to the 1st Networking Event “Social Work; Care for
Trans*Queer, youth, in and outside Berlin’s Ballroom Scene”. The focal point is the short
documentary “Home,” introducing the youth project Kiki-Lounge Berlin – a space for Trans*; Queer* youth (ages 14-27) dedicated to conveying Ballroom Culture since March 2022.
The subsequent workshop invites participants to discuss ongoing projects and their
challenges. Alongside discussions on the current needs of BIPoC Trans*& Queer* youth, reflection on successes and challenges and visions for the future will be a central theme.
Twiggy Pucci Garçon (Chief Strategy Officer of “true Colors,” USA) will also be present. As an expert in ballroom culture and social work, she will share her insights and perspectives with the Berlin community. Young people, parents, social workers, teachers, those interested in the field of political and cultural education, as well as representatives of organisations and initiatives are invited.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 70 people.
