Friends of the Webster Public Library Volunteer Form
What do the Friends do?

* Organize and run the Spring and Fall bargain book sales
* Operate ongoing lobby book sale
* Organize and manage other fundraiser events
* Provide funds to the library to purchase equipment and promotional items
* Fund library programs for all ages
* Sort donated books and media
* Represent the library at community events

Examples of items the FWPL has provided for the library include: an automated wheelchair; Express Books; DVDs; book discussion kits; programs for children, teens and adults; additions to the library collections; and The Book Page.

The FWPL promotes increased knowledge of the Webster Public Library by maintaining an association of persons interested in books and libraries. The FWPL works to stimulate and promote informed public interest in the library, its services, facilities and needs.

The FWPL encourages and promotes:
* Donations to the library
* Volunteers for FWPL activities
* Programs of community interest
* Library needs and interests to the Webster community and state and local officials

Would you like to help with book sales?
The Spring and Fall Book Sales are two of the FWPL major fundraisers. There are many tasks suitable for teens and adults.
Would you like to help with Publicity?
We welcome marketing, advertising and design skills to compliment the current committee.
Would you like to represent the FWPL at Community Events?
For example: Community Arts Day, Farmers' Market, Volunteer Day, Special Library Events
Would you like to help with a special event?
Would you like to sort donated materials?
We are currently staffed but would like to know if you are interested in this task in the future.
Would you like to be a Little Library Volunteer?
Throughout the community there are Little Library boxes that supply free books to the community. Volunteers would restock these libraries on an as necessary basis.
Please share any special skills that would benefit the FWPL.
For example: artistic talents, technology knowledge, office skills, fundraising, Certified ASL Interpreter or any other talents.
