I hereby acknowledge and assume all the risks associated with: my child’s participation in any activities facilitated by Friend in Me, any interactions with other users, whether online or offline, and any third-party content or resources linked on the Site. I waive, release, hold harmless and forever discharge Friend In Me, its owners, management, volunteers, and related individuals, entities, and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all claims, causes of action, damages, losses (economic and non- economic), and liabilities of every kind related to the above matters. This Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL. I further acknowledge that I have been advised of the existence of § 1542 of the California Civil Code, which provides: 

A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY. 

I hereby expressly waive and relinquish all rights and benefits under that section and any law of similar effect with respect to any claims I or my child may have against the Releasees.
