Welcome Ambassador Application Form
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 29 April 2018

This form is for current students at the University of Portsmouth to apply for a voluntary role as a Welcome Ambassador. The role is focused on ensuring new students for 2018-19 are actively welcomed and supported to settle in through connecting with other new students. The main time commitment will be in September and October 2018 (no more than 1-2 hours a week), mainly online.

Please also note that this project is being conducted as part of a wider set of initiatives and projects to improve wellbeing and safeguarding at the University of Portsmouth. You will be sent a separate information sheet to request your voluntary participation in the research/evaluation related to this project. Your choice to participate in the research will not have any bearing on your acceptance to the Welcome Ambassador role.

Your details are collected on this form for the purposes of recruitment to the Welcome Ambassador role, to book a place on training and for further communication related to the project. Your email address will be used to sign you up to the Welcome Ambassador Slack (online team collaboration) platform . The details will be kept securely.

Your application confirms your consent to the general filming and/or photograph which will take place during the training. Any further evaluations, research or filming related to the project will be separately consented.

NOTE: The training event on 1 May will be filmed in order to develop an online version of the training for the future. This general filming will focus on the presentation of materials and 'crowd' scenes. Any filming of individuals or conversations will be voluntary and separately consented.
