#AMVOfTheDay Linking Survey
Hi all! So, here's the situation... Coming soon, we will have a lot more videos in our #AMVOfTheDay lineup that will *not* have available uploads on YouTube or Vimeo provided by their original creators. Usually in this case, we try to link from YouTube channels owned by AMVNews, Akross, AMV.de, etc. because they are official AMV organizations that represent the community. However, several upcoming videos will not have those re-uploads either. They will be available from 3 types of sources:

1. Websites like A-M-V.org, AMVNews, niconico, bilibili, etc.

2. Low traffic re-upload channels - By this, we mean a couple of things. This category includes unsuccessful re-upload channels that have been abandoned, random YouTube users who may have re-uploaded a handful of videos because they liked them, or re-upload channels for niche AMVs (i.e. Old Good AMV). Basically, the key feature here is that these re-uploads are not grossly threatening to their creators and/or their creators' channels, if those channels still exist. Some editors will link to these re-uploads in playlists if their original uploads are unavailable. These types of channels and re-uploads will most often credit the original creators but sometimes not.

3. High traffic re-upload channels - By this, we mean channels like TheBestAMVsOfAllTime, AnimeUnity, VermillionAMV, etc. These channels are viewed by many as grossly threatening to editors' identities and the exclusiveness of their works.

We have never and will never link to #3 (High traffic re-upload channels)! However, for #AMVOfTheDay, we have linked to a few #2 channels (Low traffic re-upload channels) for re-uploads of videos found nowhere else besides on #1 sources.

Why have we done this? Because of YouTube or Vimeo embedding and user-friendliness and the desire to make things easier on people who are unfamiliar with #1 sites. Basically, to reach a larger audience outside of our immediate community (aka normies).

A complaint was filed about this, so in response, we would appreciate your feedback moving forward on what you'd rather see! Please answer the questions below to help us make a more researched decision!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE THOROUGHLY FACT-CHECKED CITING INCLUDED WITHIN THE ORIGINAL TEXT OF OUR FACEBOOK AND TWITTER POSTS. THIS SURVEY ONLY RELATES TO WHERE WE LINK TO AMVS.

Thank you!
Please select ALL that apply in response to this statement: I think it is acceptable if #AMVOfTheDay links to AMVs available on... *
