Composed of 160 students, the Leon High School Band program is a showcase of tradition, excellence, and inclusion. A fully comprehensive band program with two concert bands, two jazz bands, a percussion ensemble, and a marching band including the Scarlet Battalion color guard and Leonettes dance team, the Leon Band has earned superior ratings in all aspects of our program since 1950.
The Marching Redcoats have over 70+ consecutive years of Straight Superior Ratings, and our motto is "Getting Better Everyday". These students commit many hours a week to rehearsals, support Leon Football, participate in Tallahassee parades, and perform in regional and national festivals.
We rely on community donations so that we can provide meals to students during band
conditioning and football game days, as well as support students' participation in regional and national events. As you consider how YOU may be able to support our program, please read below how a community partnership with Leon Band will also benefit you!
