Food Justice Youth Summit Workshop
For the past four years 11th graders at Capital City Public Charter School (CCPCS) have hosted a Food Justice Youth Summit to build awareness about food justice issues, both nationally and locally. The Summit provides an opportunity for students to share their research findings and network with an authentic audience, the youth of the DC area and activists in the food justice movement, in a professional setting. This year (2018) CCPCS educators want to engage even more DC-area students and educators at the Food Justice Youth Summit.
On December 7th from 6-8 pm at the Teaching for Change Office (1832 11th St NW, Washington, DC 20001), come learn about this spring's summit and the variety of ways you and your students can get involved. We will be joined by CCPCS STUDENTS who will present on their research and preparation for the summit.
