Rolling UBC Committee Application 
Thank you for your interest in UBC Committees! These committees are what make up most of the UBC, consisting of student leaders driven to improve the UBC and School of Business. Upon review of the applications, applicants will be assigned to a specific committee. Please understand this is a semester-long commitment (at minimum). You must be available on (most) Monday nights at 6:30PM. Committee descriptions are below:

  • Outreach Committee - Enhance the value of UBC affiliation for member organizations by inquiring of needs, improving inter-organizational relationships, and providing valuable programming.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee- Celebrate the diversity that exists within the School of Business by promoting initiatives and serving as a resource for students to foster a more inclusive and equitable school community.  
  • Marketing Committee - Develop new, innovative content, highlighting the mission and work of the UBC, its member organizations, and the School of Business.
  • Student Events and Engagement Committee (SEEC) - Represent and advocate for students in the School of Business by hosting events that cultivate a welcoming environment and celebrate success of individuals within the Business School. 
  • Nonprofit Committee- Fundraise for Habitat for Humanity while supporting our local Lawrence community. Fundraising will include contacting corporations, percentage nights, hosting events that allow the choice to donate, and more. NOTE: You are allowed to be on another committee while serving on the Nonprofit Committee, since this is a new aspect that UBC is introducing this semester. This committee will be led by the Vice President and Chair of Non-Profit Sub-Committee. This will be an extra time commitment as nonprofit committee will meet from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM on scheduled dates.
