Festival of Sound Horsham: Steward Application form

What will I have to do?

Festival of Sound Horsham needs a dedicated team of Safety Stewards to ensure crowd safety acting as eyes and ears for the festival event management team and as a point of contact for the public. This role is key to the success of the event! Your role will include:- - Attend a briefing next Wednesday 29th August upstairs in B52's, Piries Place at 8pm and being fully aware of emergency evacuation, show stop and major incident procedures. - Being a source of information about the festival. - Being able to implement pre-planned procedures should the need arise. - Communicating with event control as any incidents arise so that they can be responded to quickly. - Ensuring members of the public aren't entering production areas backstage. - Encouraging members of the public to look after their own safety e.g. not climbing on street furniture - Reporting any anti-social behaviour so that it can be dealt with by police / security staff. You will be working for up to 5 hours between 10am - 10.30pm in pairs. It is important you are able commit to attending the briefing and being alert and in position for the duration of your shift. We will provide a Horsham Festival of Sound tabbard, ear plugs and radio so you can stay in touch with the rest of the team. Food, donated from local Horsham businesses will be provided during your shift. Thank you for your help and support!
