Boxing for Actors is a comprehensive workout focused on learning the basic skills, stances, and punches of boxing. You will get a superb workout, and have fun while doing it. Boxing keeps your mind working at every minute, much like acting. This class will get you in tune with body and mind, to make you a well-oiled machine, on and off stage.

About the teacher: Baba Cincere Allah learned early that stretching helps with muscle relaxation and endurance. His interest in health and fitness remained strong after college and expanded to include experimenting with martial arts and vegan cuisine. He loved the two so much that today he is vegan and is in line to become a black belt in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. His quest for inner, more contemplative peace naturally led him to Yoga. Shortly after the training he began teaching and has not looked back. Today, Cincere is a Certified Inferno Hot Pilates teacher who enjoys seeing students accomplishing their individual goals and encourages them to take class as much as possible to test their endurance, progress, and results. Professionally speaking, Cincere is a licensed Social Worker in the District of Columbia, where he also lives. Cincere is the boxing coach for the actors in Live Arts’ production of The Royale.

About the venue: Clay Fitness is a small woman-owned business in the Belmont Neighborhood of Charlottesville offering personal training, small group training and small fitness classes in a variety of formats. At Clay Fitness they believe every class should be a highly-individualized, fun experience. Their innovative programs educate the community, motivate people to make positive lasting change, and help them integrate these changes into their lives.
