Waverly Executive Board Self-Nomination Form
The nominating committee for the Waverly PTA is looking for volunteers to fill many of the following Executive Board positions for the 2021-2022 school year. The success of our PTA depends on your input – please share your time and talents! Time commitments for each post vary and no prior experience is necessary.

Please submit your forms no later than Monday, May 24, 2021.
*All Executive Board Members will be sworn in at the final PTA meeting on June 10, 2021.
*Terms begin on July 1, 2021

Below you will find descriptions of all the Waverly PTA Executive Board positions. Officers shall serve a term of one year, with the option to serve a second year. Officers cannot serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office. Current Officers may serve for a total of two years in the same office. Exceptions to the by-laws are the offices of the Co- Presidents.


Data Communications (2 positions) 🔆 1 POSITION AVAILABLE 🔆

-Oversees the AtoZ Connect database including family and staff directory
-Manages AtoZ Connect parent registration and works with class parents to ensure all parents are signed up for PTA communications
-Reviews new join requests on AtoZ Connect and enters teacher assignments to approve requests
-Communicates with committees to send out all PTA updates, events, and fundraiser information in email blasts to entire school community
-Creates engaging content for social media pages using Canva graphic designer
-Monitors private social media pages for new user join requests and confirms parents of Waverly students
-Updates and maintains the WaverlyPTA.com Wordpress website
-Attends monthly Executive Board and General Membership meetings

After School Clubs (2 positions) 🔆 1 POSITION AVAILABLE 🔆

-Find out what clubs have been previously offered and were successful at the school.
-Research and contact a variety of potential new class offerings (Some are offered at a discount through BOCES.)
-Decide what clubs will be offered and create a PTA contract using the WASP (Waverly Afterschool Program) forms
-Create after school club listings on AtoZ Connect with descriptions and meeting details
-Monitor inventory/sign ups
-Provide clubs instructors with lists of students signed up with contact information details
-Works with communications committee to send marketing and reminders of clubs through email blasts/flyers
-Point person for questions about clubs- follow up with parents etc.
-Manages after school club details and sign up in AtoZ Connect Store
-Attends monthly Executive Board and General Membership meetings
