Welcome to HomeBeis!
Whilst in general the kashrut standards people hold by is their own business, to be as accommodating as possible we hold by strict Kosher standards at the Beis.
Thanks for contributing to Beis potluck! Our kashrus guidelines:
- Bishul yisrael (cooked by a Jew), and made in a fully kosher kitchen with kosher utensils and with reliably certified ingredients, or storebought items with reliable kosher certification.
- The Beis accepts the hekshers: kosher certifications that are classified as "recommended" in this list: https://consumer.crckosher.org/acceptable-kashrus-agencies
- All fresh produce should be cut & prepared either at Beis with kosher utensils or in a private kosher kitchen. Lettuce and other fruits & vegetables that are presumed to be bug-infested should be checked by someone shomer shabbat.
- Please note storebought kosher items: dips, spices, dry goods, etc should still be in new unopened packages.
- Kashrut questions should be directed to Reb Tanya or Hart Levine.
