body talk! a preteen period party
This 3.5-hour fun and educational body literacy workshop takes the taboo out of periods and demystifies the menstrual cycle to help preteens experience their periods and cycle with greater confidence and understanding. This workshop is designed for preteens ages 8-12 to learn alongside their peers and with the active participation of their parent(s) or caregiver(s) with the aim of empowering young individuals with knowledge of the menstrual cycle while reinforcing the importance of support from family and friends.

Pricing
$45-90 sliding scale per parent and preteen diad ($15 for additional kid per parent) 

Co-facilitators
  • Darcie Black is a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner as well as a Full Spectrum Doula.
  • Erica Evans is a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator and Sexual/Reproductive Health Educator as well as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Currently Body Talk! is offered as one workshop for ages 8-12. We have thought about narrowing the age ranges and offering it twice (same curriculum) for different age groups (ages 8-10, ages 10-12, with parental decision on which group their 10 year old might be a better fit for).
