The Future of Chinatown
Have your voice be heard! We are seeking anyone who has a relationship and passion for Toronto's Chinatown. Residents and renters, elders and seniors, newcomers, students, business owners, and all lovers of Chinatown, please consider applying!

This Google Form is for those interested in appearing on-camera for a documentary style video. Selected participants will be sharing their opinions on the future of Chinatown, and will receive an honoraria of $50 for their time.

----------
Within the next few years, The City of Toronto will be conducting a public survey asking the larger Chinatown community for their opinions on future development within Chinatown.
The intention of this survey is to create appropriate, community-informed policy in regards to construction and development in central downtown Chinatown (this refers to Spadina/Dundas Chinatown - this study excludes East Chinatown).

On behalf of this study, we will be creating a video to promote community participation when the survey is released to the public and accepting responses. This Google Form is simply for those interested in appearing on-camera for this video. Selected participants will be asked to share their opinion on the future of Chinatown, and will receive a small honoraria for their time. Selected participants will be notified by email.

There is an emphasis on diverse and eclectic voices from the community - the more the merrier. If you are not interested in appearing on camera, but know someone who might, please consider sharing this opportunity with them.

----------
"The purpose of the Chinatown Study is to focus on the unique character of Chinatown to effectively plan for new developments that will complement the existing built form and its historic / cultural attributes, work to preserve the unique retail experience of Chinatown, contribute to affordable housing, and ensure that the public realm, parkland and community services meet the needs of the community. Chinatown is home to diverse demographics, which include many non-English language speakers and elderly residents, and is also considered the focal point of a community by many Torontonians that do not necessarily live in Chinatown. As such, City Planning would like to incorporate a unique outreach campaign that would be personalized towards Chinatown's demographics and the broader community."
