PALISADES YOUTH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
PARENT/PLAYER RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS DOCUMENT. BY SIGNING THE REGISTRATION FORM YOU ARE INDICATING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS DOCUMENTATION. FAILURE TO SIGN THE REQUIRED FORM WILL RESULT IN YOUR IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FROM THE PROGRAM.

The head coach from your team MUST be called if you are not going to make to a practice or a game. FAILURE TO NOTIFY THE HEAD COACH MAY NULLIFY YOUR MANDATORY PLAYING/CHEER TIME. Coaches may set minimum attendance penalties for practices for participation in games and/or competitions.

Respectable behavior is expected at all times from both the players/cheerleaders and the parents during practices and games. PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE GAME OR PRACTICE FIELDS WHILE PRACTICE OR GAMES ARE TAKING PLACE. THE PIRATE COACHING STAFF HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY PERSON FROM THE PRACTICE OR GAME FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT.

The equipment that is handed out to your child is the property of the Palisades Youth Football Association and is expensive to replace. While it is in your possession, it is your responsibility to make sure that it is washed properly and doesn’t get lost or stolen. You will be required to make restitution to our organization for any lost or stolen equipment at the current market value. (This does not include equipment damaged during normal usage at practice or games) Washing instructions are available on www.PPYF.com.

Your child will not be permitted to participate in any practice if the correct paper work has not been returned prior to the start of the season. NO CHILD WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENGAGE IN PRACTICE WITHOUT THE PHYSICAL FORM, NO EXCEPTIONS.

AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SEASON YOU WILL BE ADVISED OF THE DATE AND TIME FOR EQUIPMENT RETURNS. IF YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN’S EQUIPMENT IS NOT RETURNED ON THIS DATE YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE CURRENT MARKET VALUE OF THE MISSING EQUIPMENT AND BANQUET TROPHY(S) WILL BE HELD UNTIL THE AFOREMENTIONED IS SATISFIED.

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OF REGISTRATION FEES, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

ANY DISCREPANCIES OR ISSUES, MONETARY OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE CURRENT SEASON MUST BE ADDRESSED AT AN ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING PRIOR TO THE END OF NOVEMBER OF THE CURRENT SEASON. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.


PARENT/PLAYER RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

I hereby understand and acknowledge that as a parent/guardian of the Palisades Youth Football & Cheer Association (PPYF) participant it is my responsibility to comply with all rules and regulations stipulated, adopted or recognized by PPYF or any of its member organizations, including but not limited to the Parent/Player Rules and Code of Conduct. Any non-compliance with any and all rules and regulations may be cause for discipline and/or dismissal of my child/the participant, myself, and/or any spectators or other persons affiliated with the undersigned and the above named participant. I understand and hereby waive my rights to a hearing for any suspension by my Association and/or League of (2) weeks or less.

By my providing my initials below, I hereby stipulate that I have read, fully understand and voluntarily agree to all of the above.

Photo Release
I grant to PPYF & CYFL, its representatives, volunteers, directors, coaches the right to take photographs of me and my property in connection with any sports activity conducted by the PPYF & CYFL. CYFL Privacy Policy
The Colonial Youth Football League (CYFL) has an absolute commitment to protect and respect your privacy.
Our Privacy Policy is modeled in compliance with federal standard set forth by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). CYFL does not gather personally identifiable information unless you sign-up to play in our league (see below for more details). We do not place cookies on users’ machines at any time. We do not record browser types and versions or exact any other user information from your browser. We do not collect information on your operating system nor do we allow downloads and /or Internet cookies from third party web sites.

Confidentially of Player Data
All submitted information will remain completely confidential as part of the internal process at CYFL. Under no circumstances will CYFL sell, trade, share or otherwise release players, parents/guardian information to any third parties. CYFL will not reveal any personal information about players, parents, or guardians such as address, birth date, or telephone number in the public website. The protected area of the site, available only to CYFL Staff, league representatives and team head coaches, will have access to more personally identifiable information, such as children’s name, weight, date of birth and jersey number, however, any information about child player posted to the public or private areas of the website is only with the consent of that’s child’s parent or guardian. The consent of a parent or guardian can be withdrawn at any time.

Code of Conduct/Photo Release
As a Parent, Guardian, Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Mom or Dad:
-I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child and other children participating in youth sports by following this Code-of-Conduct.
-I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other youth sport events.
-I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child and other children ahead of any personal desire to win.
-I will insist that all children play in a safe and healthy environment.
-I will provide support for coaches and officials working with children to provide a positive, enjoyable experience for all.
-I will demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free sports environment for all children and agree to assist by refraining from their use at all youth sports events.
-I will remember that a game is for children and not for adults.
-I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for each child.
-I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
-I will promise to help my child enjoy the youth sports experience within my personal constraints by assisting with coaching, being a respectful fan, providing transportation or whatever I am capable of doing.
-I will discuss this Code-of-Conduct with my child/children.
-I will bring issues of concern to the CYFL Board for discussion.
-I understand and accept the Code-of-Conduct as written above. I also understand that failure to comply with this Code-of-Conduct will result in disciplinary action as determined by the CYFL after a review of the violation. I agree to abide by the CYFL findings and realize that this includes but is not limited to, removal of my child from the sport.

By checking below, and providing initials, I agree to the following: The Palisades Pirates Youth Football Association has my permission to take any action deemed necessary for my child's safety and health. I will not hold the association or their agents responsible for any action taken on their part. In addition, having read and agreed to the PPYF Parent/Player Rules and Code of Conduct which allows my child to participate in the Palisades Pirates Youth Football program. I/we give my/our permission to the above mentioned child to actively participate in the Palisades Pirates Youth Football Association program for the 2019 season and agree to abide by the rules set forth by PPYF. You should be aware that in spite of all reasonable precautions, injuries can happen. Football is a physical sport and even the best preparation, equipment and safety precautions will sometimes not prevent an injury.

Snack Stand Responsibility *
Parents are REQUIRED to help in snack stand, sideline functions and fundraising activities. Please remember that we are all volunteers just like you. If you are scheduled to work, please be on time. If you’re unable to make your scheduled time it is your responsibility to find a suitable replacement. Upon completion of your scheduled times working in the concession stand the $50 snack stand check will be returned to you. The snack stand deposit will not be returned to you if you or a responsible party does not complete the requested working times.

I agree to the terms of the 2019 Registration Fees. Payment should be made payable to PPYF (Palisades Pirates Youth Football). Please include a check for the Registration Fee and a separate $50 Snack Stand check (1 per family). Checks should be given to your coach/team mom at the first practice. Equipment WILL NOT be issued until registration fees have been paid.
