Winter Wonders
Grades K-1
Taught by Wini Boswell
Do you ever wonder why it snows, how animals stay warm in the Arctic, or if there is anything colder than ice? Join Mrs Boswell to find out! Each week she will share some of their favorite Winter books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to a craft project, a science project, or a yummy snack. This club will be a fun-filled way for your child to improve their reading confidence, vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. Let's explore the wonders of winter together!
Ocean STEM Explorers (THIS CLUB IS FULL)
Grades 1-2
Taught by Bailey Jones
Join us on our adventures under the sea! During Ocean explorers club, students will learn about the ocean ecosystem, including activities about the zones, animals, and ocean science. We will explore the ocean layers, the coral reef, and various sea creatures such as sharks, jellyfish, puffer fish, and sea turtles. Each week we will either do a STEM activity or craft to go along with the lesson!
Let’s Create! Clay and Glass Club
Grades 2-5
Taught by Amanda Daley
Students will explore, manipulate, and create a piece of ceramic and glass artwork. We will use techniques such as hand-building, coil building, glazing and fusing to create a one of a kind piece of 3D art. Whether this is your first TEK Art experience or you are a previous club member, you will be inspired by working on a new project and walk away with a beautiful new 3D piece of artwork.
