GWHS MedConnect Mock Clinic: May 10, 2018
The purpose of the Mock Clinic project is to give MedConnect students an understanding of the daily life of a healthcare professional. In addition to educating the public on proper diet and exercise habits, each student will be researching their specific role in a public health clinic. Their roles will be Doctor, PA, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, or Office Manager. They will then perform the appropriate tasks for their assigned role within the clinic. The clinic’s focus will be on patients who are overweight.

The goal is to have the patient come to the clinic for treatment and receive advice from our student clinicians. The patients will present with predetermined symptoms and the students will have to diagnosis, treat and educate the patient based off the symptoms.
